Cricket

Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a circular or oval-shaped field. The game is played on a rectangular 22-yard-long pitch at the center, where the bowling and batting takes place. One team bats, aiming to score runs by hitting the ball and running between two sets of three wooden stumps, while the other team bowls and fields, trying to dismiss the batters and limit runs scored. The objective is to score more runs than the opposing team. Cricket is governed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and has various formats, including Test matches, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 (T20) matches, each with different rules and durations. The sport is especially popular in countries such as India, Australia, England, and Pakistan.
