Snow Storms

Snow storms, often referred to as winter storms or blizzards, are meteorological events characterized by significant snowfall, strong winds, and often low temperatures. They occur when moist air is lifted and cooled in the atmosphere, causing precipitation in the form of snow. These storms can vary in intensity and duration, ranging from light snow showers to severe blizzards with heavy snowfall and whiteout conditions. Snow storms can disrupt travel, create dangerous road conditions, and impact daily life, leading to school closures and power outages. The National Weather Service and other meteorological organizations issue winter weather warnings to inform the public of impending snow storms and their potential impacts.
